Laprell’s Beehive Products Inc. is a privately owned Canadian company located in the City of Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada.
Since 1999 Laprell’s Beehive Products Inc . has developed new and improved processing methods with the potential to increase the utilization and value of raw beehive products. With the support of the National Research Council, Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada, the Bioprocessing Centre and POS Bio-Sciences, all located at Innovation Place of U of S in Saskatoon, Canadian bee propolis was researched. A very efficient process to extract and fractionate the bioactive compounds from raw propolis was developed. This resulted in marketing of several standardized bee propolis products; a first in Canada for a Saskatchewan company.
History:
In 1983, guided by his passion for honey bees and naturopathic medicine, Rudi Laprell along with his wife Elisabeth founded the company as a family operated apiary in the pristine Saskatchewan countryside. Over three decades of research and practical experience in the beekeeping industry in Europe and Canada has enabled Laprell’s Beehive Products Inc. to employ the most innovative management systems and processing methods in the manufacturing and production of honey, bee pollen, propolis , royal jelly and beeswax.Since 1999 Laprell’s Beehive Products Inc . has developed new and improved processing methods with the potential to increase the utilization and value of raw beehive products.
